Nerja Weather

Due to the geography surrounding Nerja, it very much has its own micro climate. Situated on the warm Mediterranean it generally receives a warmer year round climate than most coastal towns of the region primarily thanks to the protection it enjoys from the Sierra Almijara mountain range which in winter provides a barrier to the cool air from the north and in summer keeps out the very hot and uncomfortable air associated with inland Spain in the fierce summer months. This means Nerja enjoys the best of both worlds with its mild and comfortable climate.

As you’d expect from a Costa Del Sol town though, there is no shortage of sunshine with the vast majority of days being sunny and around two thirds of the year being almost cloudless. Summer temperatures can reach up to 30 degrees celsius while winter months can get to a low of approximately 10 degrees celsius.
Of course we have to have some rain sometime and out of season most months will experience some rainfall however this tends to be in the region of five to six days each month.
