Parking in Nerja
In most of the coastal Mediterranean towns parking is a seasonal problem. With the influx of tourists through the prime summer months come thousands of cars all needing their own “accommodation”. In recent years as Nerja’s popularity has increased so has the difficulty in parking. Fortunately, despite being a small town Nerja has a number of large car parks to help cope with this.
There are two municipal car parks in the town, neither of which are free unfortunately, another privately owned non-free area and three free car parks, one on the northern and two on the western edges of Nerja. (Hover over the map pushpins to see the carpark names)
Private Car Park - Los Huertos
There is also a large area of open ground that runs along the northern edge of Calle Carabeo known as Los Huertos which has been used as a car park for many years. It was formerly free to park here however as of last year you do now have to pay. It’s an excellent place to park with quick access to the most popular areas.
