Carabeillo
General Description
This is a small beach surrounded by cliffs and accessible by foot , by car and via Burriana beach. It’s located close to the center of town but still has parking available, although free parking spaces are limited. It’s a popular beach with tourists although it may not be suitable for elderly people due to the steep descent from the town and the parking area. There are a number of options for lunch close to the beach however these are found at the top of the cliffs so you'll have to climb the steep access again, otherwise you can walk along the shore to Burriana where there are plenty of cafes and chiringuitos. The beach is covered by lifeguards and regularly cleaned.
How to get there
Carabeillo is found at the eastern end of Calle Carabeo and is easily accessible from the town by foot. Upon reaching the end of the street you will find a pedestrian area called “Mirador del Bendito” with views to the sea. The beach directly below this area is Carabeillo. You can reach it via the steps found to the left of the Mirador. Alternatively, if you are arriving by car, starting from the bus terminal you head east and go straight across the roundabout. You should pass a petrol station on your left and proceed to another roundabout. Here you need to turn right and continue down the hill until you reach another roundabout with a fountain in the center. Go straight across and continue to yet another roundabout. Here turn right and you should find yourself in an area with parking on both your left and your right. To the left you will see the “Mirador del Bendito” and Carabeillo.
